This original watercolour depicts swans serenely swimming on flooded meadows on the Somerset Levels in the winter sunshine, with the sun streaming through one of the pollarded willows which line the rhynes or drainage ditches. This particular meadow floods every year and the flooding is part of the ecosystem.
The painting has been completed on watercolour paper and will be professionally mounted in a cream mount, backed and wrapped in clear plastic for protection (as shown in the final photograph). Please allow 2 weeks for this.
It will be delivered carefully wrapped in bubble wrap, cardboard and brown paper and posted using a tracked and signed for delivery option for safety.
